Camp All Saints is a place where we learn to live in Christian community while building friendships and rekindling old friendships, as described in the second chapter of Acts in the Bible. Starting that first night, as the sun sets, a cabin begins to gel together after an afternoon of orientation which includes a swim test, introduction to arts and crafts, the deans and the program staff. Areas of activities will be explored from archery to low and high ropes courses, to waterfront activities, music and the dining hall where food is prepared fresh daily. As a staff, we find these activities build on life long skills.
Our new waterfront activity is learning to sail. Those who pass the swim test and are strong swimmers can take a few days to learn about the Sunfish Sailboats. There is kayaking and canoeing, as well, to round out our waterfront programs. Mountain biking and hikes are very popular at Camp All Saints. Campers will have opportunities to explore the 650+ acres at Camp All Saints and see flora and fauna they may have never experienced before.
Worship and fellowship during the Dean's time gives your camper the foundation for the week's theme as they explore deeper into their own faith, listen to others share testimony and ponder the depths of God's love for them.
Arts and crafts are designed to reflect the teachings and give expression to what campers have learned, felt, experienced, find and understand. Music and learning guitar is another way to grow leaders in our community. Skills learned playing guitar can help one grow in performance, poise and leading others in worship.
Our newest program area will focus on digital media production. We hope to involve campers in digital photography and videography to create short movies/slideshows expressing the Prayers of the People. This skill will be easily transfered to the local church where youth groups can explore further what it means to be a Christian in a digital world.
Our hope is that campers will experience the love of Jesus Christ in such a variety of ways that the passion for serving and using new skills will bring glory to God.
